Another studio session! | "Midsummer's Night" Written and composed by Donnie Chauncey

This summer when I was back in NYC for my postponed graduation, I stopped in for some octopus and pork buns at one of my favorite spots near Times Square after seeing A Strange Loop. I ended up striking a conversation with the bartender, and we found out that he was writing a musical and needed a vocalist to record a demo track. A few emails and samples sent back and forth, and the demo was completed! Check it out below:

I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to be the first person to bring Donnie's artistic vision to life, and I absolutely cannot wait to see where this musical takes him! Special thanks to Jessica Marie Fisher for letting me use her recording studio, cannot wait to get back in there again soon!

To be extremely clear, I don't consider myself an editor. When I was trying to decide between my two best takes, I figured why not just try to use the best parts of each instead? So I downloaded GarageBand!

Since this was my very first time using it I just cut/spliced and adjusted the volume, but I'm definitely excited to keep toying around with the software again soon. Let me know what you think! :)
